Climbing is a superb way of getting fitter and stronger. Instead of just pumping weights and doing endless repeats of muscle-straining exercises for different parts of your body, climbing provides exercise for the whole body with every climb you tackle. There’s such variety- every climb is different, and every time you do a climb, you do it in a slightly different way.

Climbing provides challenges which give you a great sense of achievement! The adrenalin rush of completing a climb you have been trying to do is totally different to the draining feeling of gym work-outs. Of course, we have a gym too! But that is designed to be a part of a total regime of physical and mental exercise, not simply an end in itself. Why not give Climbing a try? If you’re over 18, you can just turn up and give it a go!
